User Data Deletion Instructions

Effective Date: April 20, 2026 Last Updated: April 20, 2026

Cloudy Zebra LLC (d/b/a “CloudyZebra SEO”) respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of personal information held by CloudyZebra, regardless of whether that information was collected directly by us, provided through a Meta/Facebook login, or shared with us by one of our clients.

This page satisfies the User Data Deletion Instructions requirement for our Meta Developer App. For broader privacy rights and information, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Who Can Request Deletion

You can request deletion of personal information whether you are:

  • A client or prospect of CloudyZebra who has engaged with our website, marketing, or services
  • A Facebook/Meta user who has connected to any CloudyZebra Meta App or interacted with ads that CloudyZebra manages on behalf of our clients
  • An end-user of a CloudyZebra client’s marketing campaigns (e.g., someone who clicked an ad, filled out a lead form, or otherwise interacted with advertising that CloudyZebra manages)
  • Any individual whose personal information CloudyZebra holds, regardless of the collection source

2. What Personal Data We May Hold

CloudyZebra may hold some or all of the following (see our Privacy Policy §2 for complete categories):

  • Contact information (name, email, phone, business affiliation)
  • Account and engagement records (inquiries, form submissions, support tickets)
  • Website behavior (IP address, device/browser information, page views, clicks, session recordings, heatmap data)
  • Advertising interaction data (ad clicks, conversion events, custom audience memberships, lookalike source data)
  • Meta/Facebook-origin data received through Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Lead Ads forms, and similar tools
  • Billing information (for active clients only)
  • Communications you have sent to us

For data processed on behalf of a CloudyZebra client (e.g., lead information generated by client ad campaigns), CloudyZebra typically acts as a service provider or data processor — the client is the primary data controller. See Section 6 below.

3. How to Request Deletion

Option A — Email (Recommended)

Send an email to:

cloudyzebramarketing@gmail.com

Subject: User Data Deletion Request

In the body, please include:

  • Your full name
  • All email addresses and phone numbers you have used in connection with CloudyZebra (or a CloudyZebra client’s marketing)
  • A description of the context in which your data was collected, if known (e.g., “filled out a contact form on asphaltindustries.com in March 2026”)
  • Confirmation that you are the subject of the data (or are authorized to act on their behalf)

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification (with one 30-day extension permitted where reasonably necessary, per applicable privacy law).

Option B — Postal Mail

Send a written request to:

Cloudy Zebra LLC Attn: Data Deletion 31 Burning Bush Blvd Ballston Lake, NY 12019

Include the same information as Option A. Processing time starts on the date of receipt.

Option C — Meta/Facebook Direct Disconnect

If you are a Facebook user who connected to a CloudyZebra Meta App, you can disconnect it and trigger data removal at Meta’s end through:

  1. Facebook SettingsApps and Websites → find the CloudyZebra app → Remove
  2. Then follow Option A or B above to also delete data held in CloudyZebra’s systems.

Meta’s deletion of app-connected data does not automatically delete data CloudyZebra already stored; a request to us is required for CloudyZebra-side deletion.

4. Identity Verification

To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. This typically means confirming details that only you would know (e.g., the approximate date of your contact, the email address you used, the service/campaign involved). We will never ask for passwords, Social Security numbers, or payment information to verify identity.

If you submit a request through an authorized agent, we may require:

  • A copy of written authorization signed by you, OR
  • A power of attorney, OR
  • Verification directly from you (email or phone) that the agent is authorized

5. What Gets Deleted

Upon verified request, CloudyZebra will:

  • Delete personal information from our active systems (CRM, email lists, analytics user properties, custom audiences, session recordings, support tickets)
  • Remove the information from Custom Audience and Lookalike Audience sources on Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and similar ad platforms where we uploaded it
  • Request deletion from third-party service providers that processed the data on our behalf (e.g., email delivery services, analytics vendors, CRM platforms)
  • Anonymize any information required for legitimate business, financial, or legal record-keeping purposes so that it no longer personally identifies you

Backup copies of deleted data are overwritten in accordance with our standard backup rotation, typically within 90 days of the deletion request.

6. What May NOT Be Deleted

Some information may be retained after a deletion request if required or permitted by law, including:

  • Financial and tax records for active or former clients (typically 7 years, required by IRS and state tax authorities)
  • Legal holds (records subject to pending or reasonably anticipated litigation, subpoena, or government investigation)
  • Fraud prevention and security records necessary to protect CloudyZebra, our clients, or the public
  • Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be re-associated with you
  • Data that a CloudyZebra client is obligated to retain (where CloudyZebra is processor, the client — not CloudyZebra — is the ultimate controller; see below)

We will inform you if any category of your information is retained and explain the legal or business basis.

7. Data Held on Behalf of CloudyZebra Clients

If CloudyZebra holds your personal information as part of services we provide to one of our clients (e.g., lead data generated by a client’s ad campaign that we manage), the client is typically the primary data controller under applicable privacy law, and CloudyZebra acts as service provider or processor.

In that case:

  • Deletion requests are most effectively directed to the specific client whose campaign or forms collected your data (the client controls the CRM, primary records, and retention decisions)
  • CloudyZebra will nevertheless honor valid deletion requests for data in our own systems and will notify the client of your request
  • If you don’t know which client collected your data, contact us and we will help identify the likely source so you can request deletion at the controller level as well

If you interacted with an ad, form, or landing page and are unsure who the advertiser was, send us any details you remember (ad text, image, approximate date, product/service advertised) and we will attempt to identify the client.

8. Third-Party Platforms — Separate Deletion

CloudyZebra cannot delete data stored independently by third-party platforms. If you wish to delete data from those platforms, you must contact them directly. Links to their deletion processes:

Third-party platform deletions are subject to their respective policies and timeframes.

9. Automated Data-Deletion Requests from Meta

If Meta initiates an automated data-deletion request on your behalf (as part of a Facebook account deletion, app disconnect, or similar), CloudyZebra receives a callback or notification and will process the corresponding data removal from our systems within the timeframes described above. You do not need to take additional action for CloudyZebra to honor Meta-initiated requests, though you may also submit a direct request via Option A or B for confirmation.
